The Turkish Biotechnology Association is organizing two important events. The association will organize the “2nd National Biotechnology Student Summit” on November 30, 2017, and immediately after that, it will hold the “19th National Biotechnology Congress with International Participation” between November 1 and December 3, 2017. The events will be hosted by Eskişehir Osmangazi University.
VSY Biotechnology Board Chairman Dr. Ercan Varlıbaş will be attending the events as an invited speaker for both the Summit and the Congress. While Dr. Varlıbaş will share his experiences with students with his speech titled “About Success and Life” at the 2nd National Biotechnology Student Summit, he will talk about “Biotechnology in Turkey” at the Biotechnology Congress.
DR. ERCAN VARLIBAŞ: “THE AIM IS TO CREATE SYNERGY IN THE FIELD OF BIOTECHNOLOGY”
Making a statement on the subject, VSY Biotechnology Board Chairman Dr. Ercan Varlıbaş; He stated that the aim of the 19th National Biotechnology Congress with international participation is to bring together industry and universities to share up-to-date information, create new business ideas and thus create synergy in the field of biotechnology, and drew attention to the importance of industry and university cooperation. Dr. Varlıbaş; “Industries are constantly renewing themselves depending on the speed of technological development, techniques are changing; in the meantime, very important projects are being produced and theses are being conducted at universities. Such organizations provide a two-way interaction for industry and universities, thus playing a role in triggering development in sectors.”
PROF. DR. AHMET ÇABUK: “170 PROJECTS WILL BE PRESENTED AT THE CONGRESS”
Eskişehir Osmangazi University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çabuk, who is on the Organizing Board of the Turkish Biotechnology Association, also made an assessment on the subject and announced that a total of 170 projects will be presented by scientists during the Biotechnology Congress, and that international speakers will also be given a place at the congress. Prof. Dr. Çabuk stated that the congress consists of 8 sections and listed these titles as follows: bioengineering, medical biotechnology, environmental biotechnology, industrial biotechnology, food biotechnology, animal biotechnology, nanobiotechnology, agricultural biotechnology.
